We say on average 16.500 words per day. We express emotions, feelings and thoughts by a simple combination of few consonants. And still with so much communication experience we are far away from being perfect in that field. Misunderstandings, problems with expression of thoughts that are pictured in our heads…
Words are the most powerful weapon on that world. They give people wings, make them cry, kill, bring hope, make us laugh. For some of them we wait for all our life, like: “I love you”, “Congratulations you are a father”, “Welcome on board”. For some it is better that they remain unspoken.
We can speak but bring no content. We can scream but no one can hear us. We can explain but our words are interpreted in the wrong way.
Conversation is one of the few things that can be strictly controlled by us. We decide which words will be uncovered, which deepest thoughts will stay protected. We point out our trustee. And finally we lead the paths of our story as we want to.
However once something is said it is difficult to take it back. So before we make some statements laud it is good to remember that silence is also a solution.
I'm terrible at describing myself.
