Homecoming 2006
The floats are out, everyone's in suits, and the rain has decided to hold off for a little while. Happy MSU homecoming. For a school whose football team would fare better chances against the local teens, our homecoming is generally ok. "Tent City," the gathering of organizations selectively smoozing alumni or selling food to the rest, was a little less exciting than usual. No cute pictures to be stuck to buttons or keychains this year, just more people in a smaller space. The food was good, anyway. International students should sell home-cooked food more, they'd be able to pay for their entire semester here.
Before I finish my bitter rant, I feel I should thank the college heads for including the many students that have made the Residential College System what it is today. Your acknowledgement of our work over the last 10 years was touching.
As usual, I'm skipping the game. It's cool out, not cold, but we'll still get stomped, and I have 2 papers to write ASAP. So while the people I don't like suck up to the people I didn't like, I'll be here at work with the people I do like. Mephistopheles and Faustus.
